Error when exporting from CAST to Excel

If you see error message "Object doesn't support property or method 'NewExcelBook'" when trying to export reports from CAST to Excel, it means that CAST's ActiveX component can't initialize Excel to show the report. Check the following things:

1. Make sure Microsoft Excel is installed and activated

2. Make sure 32-bit Internet Explorer is used.
CAST's ActiveX component is compatible with 32-bit IE. To make sure you can run IE from \Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

3. Ensure that CAST's ActiveX control is correctly installed and enabled
- In Internet Explorer, select the Tools button , and then select Manage add-ons;
- Show *All add-ons*. Find two add-ons provided by CQG Inc.
- Enable both of them if they're disabled.

Make sure that after login to CAST both CQG add-ons are listed in *Currently loaded add-ons*.

4. Make sure ActiveX controls are enabled in Internet Explorer.

In particular, we need to have the following ActiveX settings:
- Allow *Automatic prompting for ActiveX* controls by selecting Enable;
- Allow Internet Explorer to *Download signed ActiveX controls* by selecting Prompt or Enabled;
- Allow Internet Explorer to *Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins* by selecting Enable;
- Allow Internet Explorer to *Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting* by selecting Enable
