This setting is available on other terminals, such as TWS and Thinkorswim, which applies only to futures and options charts. It allows a trader to select the session that a trader wants to see on the chart - all or only the main (day) session, as well as, in the case of selecting only the daily session, additionally determines whether or not his order will trigger (activate) outside the daily session.
Example:
- By choosing "day session" and "no triggering of the order outside the day session", a trader sees candlesticks as they are drawn only in the day session, and accordingly, the order placed can only trigger in the day session, while in the night session the orders placed will not trigger;
- by choosing "day session" and "order triggering outside the day session" the trader sees the candlesticks as they are drawn only in the day session, and accordingly, the order placed may trigger both in the day session and night session;
- having chosen "day and night session", there is no additional choice about the order triggering time, and the trader sees the candles as they are drawn in both sessions (as the platform is drawing the candles now), and the order placed can work both in day session and night session.
