CQG & Excel

  1. How to get historical settlement prices if not the same as close.

To get the last settlement for CL in excel I use =RTD("CQG.RTD",,"ContractData","CLEK5,"Settlement",,"T").

For many contracts if I use just the contract such as "CL" vs "CLE" I get the pit closes were close it the same as settlement.

Then I use =RTD("CQG.RTD", ,"ContractData", "CLEK5[-1]","Close",,"T") to pull out the close prices. The -1 is one day previous and if I change the value it changes the day, but if I use Settlement or Settle it does not work and for CLE the Close is not the same.

How can I get historical settees for a contract in excel or in CQG…

  2. Placing orders via Excel to CQG

    Hello,
Just checking if you have any excel or VBA scripts samples when you can run 10 Q Formulas or DOM Contract Orders via Excel.
The excel should populate the current bid and offer and will allow as us work a bid or ask price.

Seems that the samples are all bulky. meaning I can only place 1 order per excel.

It is more like an autotrader when prices can driven by excel to the autotrader. It should be able to turn off and on via excel.

Just have to work 10 orders in 1 go,

    Is there a VBA…

  3. Time and Sales

If color coded time and sales with columns of time( miliseconds), Contract, Price , Quantity can be enabled/added, it will be great for the people who use it to judge the change in behavior of the market.

  5. Can I copy and paste data from CQG into Excel or other programs?

Yes, you can copy data from a Quote Spreadsheet or an Enhanced Quote Spreadsheet. Click and drag over the data you want to transfer to Excel. Right click on the highlighted data and click on ‘Copy to Excel’. In Excel, right click where you want to place the data, and click Paste.
